What qualifies me to edit your book?

Great question. I would be concerned about qualifications when hiring an editor, too. Especially with the how the world of AI is taking over, and people have been screwed on more than one occasion by “editors” who are giving us real editors a bad rep.

I promise to explain what my qualifications are here on this page, but I will also answer any questions you have, and we will always sign a contract that protects us BOTH.

College

I have a BA in psychology from The University of Arizona. I passed with a GPA of 3.8. I took focused English courses, and had extensive experience in writing, researching, and editing papers.

I also have many graduate-level courses. I enrolled in a graduate English Literature program, but did not finish the program due to issues with the school making changes that didn’t align with what I needed. I have taken graduate-level courses in psychology, English, education, special education, writing, research, project management, and communication.

Non-College

I have been an AVID reader my entire life. I have been writing since I was little, and I am the go-to for all my friends and family who need something written or edited.

I was a social media manager for over 4 years with education in SEO, writing, content creation, editing, and copywriting.

I have read many books on the topics, and watched countless hours of videos or listened to podcasts.

I understand how important your book is to you. I understand how hard you have worked, and the blood, sweat, and tears you have put in to your work. I promise that I care so much about you and your book, and I wholeheartedly want to help you get your book to publication.
